Art School Confidential celebrates 5 decades of Visual Arts at the University of Ottawa, representing the work of fifty artists who’ve taught and studied in the historic building situated at a hundred Laurier East since 1974. While our hearts are damaged, our ideas are with Lesley, James’ household, his associates, and all those that have been touched by his work and generosity of spirit. His activism, creative ingenuity, and passionate curiosity in conservation will be remembered by all who had the privilege to know him and expertise Picture of Arts his work. In addition to his artistic contributions, James was a passionate supporter and dedicated patron of the humanities; deeply dedicated to encouraging inventive expertise and celebrating the power of art. It is with profound disappointment that we share the sudden passing of James Darling, a deeply revered artist whose work has left an indelible mark on the humanities group.
