TikTokers are going through their photo albums and turning back the clock for their pets with a sound from a British television show.
The trend comprises two things. The first is a slideshow of two pictures. In the initial picture, users show what their pet looks like now with their name written on the slide. Then, the next slide shows a photo of the pet from their younger days.
“The sweetest pup to ever exist,” wrote @tmason19 in his post.
Plenty of users are rushing to show off how cute their pets were then and now, with thousands of posts under the sound.
The audio behind this trend was originally posted by @skinsxyls. The video is an edit of Cassie (Hannah Murray) from the British TV show Skins. In the edit, Cassie is telling an older woman her name, who then repeats it. The creator of this edit also uses the song “Silver Soul” by Beach House in the background. Together, they made a wildly popular TikTok audio.
Currently, the sound has over 1.5 million posts attached to it, with several trends and videos using the audio.
“Just a speck of dust in the sun,” wrote @problyfake.
Seeing how big some people’s pets have gotten has been hard for many TikTokers to fully process.
“I know cats grow up but I actually feel sick knowing the meat ball no longer looks like the little meatball he used to be,” said @pixiee.hearts.
While users are using this sound to show how adorable their pets are, this isn’t the first time a sound has been used for this purpose.
In February, pet owners used audio from @walter.the.catt to display cuteness. Owners will find a way and a sound they like to make sure their furry friends get the adoration they deserve.
