PET retailer Jollyes will create 10 jobs when it opens a new store at Boucher Road in Belfast at the end of July – its 14th in Northern Ireland and 92nd in the UK.
The 5,500 sq feet outlet will offer a range of pet food (including frozen raw brands), pet toys, pet accessories, small animals and services including a community pet clinic, which offers vaccinations and microchipping services.
The Boucher Road opening on July 29 comes as Jollyes confirmed record sales in its full year to the end of May, when turnover rose by 33 per cent to £115.5 million, with like-for-like growing by 17 per cent over the year.
Jollyes says it plans to accelerate its growth over the coming year, aiming to have 100 stores open by early 2024.
Regional manager Laura Hadden said: “Every one of our 180 colleagues in Northern Ireland loves to share their knowledge and pet expertise with customers, and we can’t wait to deliver that amazing service and value to new pet parents on Boucher Road.”
From modest beginnings in Enfield as a single store in 1971, Jollyes has grown into one of the leading pet food superstores in the UK.
